In this project, I designed a biaxial heart tissue testing system. This required load cell and actuator integration, SolidWorks to design the system, machining various parts, and automating the system with LabVIEW.
The purpose of this project was to assist with the lab's study of the biomechanical properties of the mitral valve of the heart in an effort to understand and prevent tissue failures for post surgical patients.
